The Issachar Ministry

The Issachar Ministry is a Christian Prophetic Teaching ministry based in Australia. Founded in 1986 our calling is to assist the Body of Christ to come to maturity of spirit and soul as we await the return of the Lord Jesus (Eph. 4:11-16).

We are concerned with presenting apostolic truth and End Time insight within a prophetic context.

The teachings you will find on this site are Biblically orientated. Generally they are NOT teachings on the prophetic, but are prophetic teachings on the Word. Of course some will focus on prophetic issues – but overall we aim to present sound Bible teaching with a prophetic edge to it. Hope you can understand the difference!

Some background on Peter McArthur

• Hi my name is Peter McArthur. I was born in South Australia , and Born-Again through a dream in which the Lord confronted me and told me to Repent! Quite a dramatic event I can tell you.
• I did my training at a Theological College in South Australia (Crafers), graduating with a Diploma of Theology, and then completed a Theological College Intern Course in Western Australia.
• I was ordained a Minister in the Anglican Church and ministered for 26 years in parishes in Western Australia up to 2001.
• In 1986 I founded The Issachar Ministry as a teaching ministry to the wider Body of Christ.
• Since 1983 I have led outreach teams overseas and taught in Madras, Gujarat, Vellore, Mumbai, Chennai and Kovilpatti (India), in Manila (Philippines), Singaraja on Bali (Indonesia), and more recently in Chitwan and Kathmandu (Nepal).
• I have also taught at YWAM bases in Perth (Western Australia), Mumbai (India), and Bali (Indonesia).
• In 2001 I resigned and disassociated myself from the Anglican Church to minister independently across the Body of Christ, but continued to teach and write through The Issachar Ministry.
• In 2001 I helped co-found a non-denominational and independent assembly called City of Palms Fellowship, in Carnarvon, Western Australia.
• Each year I and others from City of Palms Fellowship run a major Pastor’s conference in Central Nepal.
• I have a heart for Israel and love teaching on the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith – and on the Word generally.
• My main calling and gifting is Teaching, and to date I’ve written over 30 publications (some of these are available through our on-line Bookstore).
